On 3rd March 2020, Anderson and Garland Auctioneers sold one of the finest collections of rare and desirable saxophones that had come to auction in recent years. It comprised thirteen of the best saxophone models and all surpassed expectations on the day. The highest selling lot, a 1949 Selmer Paris super balanced action tenor saxophone, sold for £5,100 hammer. This was secured by a bidder in the room, who had travelled from the other side of the country to be in with a chance of buying this lot.
