A fine Meiji period patinated bronze two-handled covered vase on stand, the cover mounted by a samurai looking into the distance above main vase with two panels depicting two further samurai opposite birds flanked by dragon handles, the stand raised on four phoenix pattern legs, the circular base with makers mark inscribed ''Yoshiaki Zo'' (Yoshiaki maker), and decorated throughout with scrolls, 39 1/2in.
