A 20th Century Naval Officer's dress sword, 1827 pattern, the 31in. (79cms) blade by J.R. Gaunt & Son, London & Birmingham, etched with acorns and oak leaves around knotted rope and anchor, stamped '14470' to blade back, the hilt with cast brass guard, wire bound shagreen grip and lion mask pommel, brass mounted leather scabbard 37in. (94cms) long overall; together with a reproduction model of a thirty-two pounder gun from the HMS Tartar, made by Vince Byrne, presented to Captain J.C. Foster 'From His Gun's Crew', wooden stand 9 x 6 3/4in. (23 x 17cms). (2) NB Captain J.C. Foster thought to be captain of the RFA Olmeda during the Falkland's War.
