A 19th Century French Cavalry Trooper's sword, pattern 1822, with 36in. (92cms) single edged fullered blade, the back of blade stamped Manufactured in Chatellerault, February 1832, with open bow guard, partly wire bound leather grip, typical brass pommel, fitted with a steel scabbard, 43in. (109cms) long overall.
