A British Artillery officer's sword, previously belonged to Major General Frederick Smith Stanton, RA, the 89cms (35in.) blade decorated with leaf scrolls 'Royal Artillery' and crest, initials 'F.W.S.S.' and maker 'Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London', the open knuckle guard over wire bound shagreen grip, leather covered and metal scabbards, 106cms (42in.) overall.
